Don't miss IGNITE's AGM

Cross off Friday at 11 a.m. because you have something to do.

Your student union is holding its AGM, or Annual General Meeting.

Why is that important?

Because this is when your current executives and Board of Directors will do some very important things like present the budget and formally confirm the election results of the 2020 elections.

There's a minimum number of students needed to be there -- known as quorum -- and so it's important for you to attend.

Normally it would be held in person but, like everything else right now, it has been moved online.

It makes it easy to attend when you can do it from your phone!

For more details, visit this page on IGNITE's website.

Call to Order - Hi, how are you?

Approval of Agenda - Basically a procedural thing.

Approval of Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Members January 2020 - Another procedural thing.

Motion to ratify the results of the 2020 Elections - Another procedural thing, but definitely important.

Presentation on IGNITE 2019-2020 highlights - Usually straightforward but considering this is the first year that we had the Student Choice Initiative and now we have canceled events due to COVID-19, it could be quite different.

Presentation of the 2020-2021 Budget - Important. It will be interesting to see what is done with the next year's budget here because of the SCI and the potential of COVID-19 impacting the fall semester.

Approval of BDO Canada LLP as the 2020-2021 Financial Auditors -- Regular procedure.

Motion to adjourn -- Ending the 2020 AGM.
